  • Two workshops were held on each day, one dedicated to starting a career in space, the other to manufacturing your own satellite

  • Knowledge Corner gave the attendees the opportunity to speak one on one with space experts
  • Schools, colleges and universities attended Project Space, alongside the speakers and employees of the space centre
  • Dr Mike Brown, the ‘Pluto Killer’ and Richard and Barbara Rosenberg Professor of Planetary Astronomy at the California Institute of Technology, giving a rousing presentation on his search for Planet Nine on the edges of the Solar System
  • A panel discussion featuring leading engineers from MBRSC and the CEO/President of Saterc Initiative, Dr BJ Kim, where the establishment of MBRSC was revealed along with the knowledge transfer programme

  • Dr Cathy Swan ignited a passion in the female audience as she offered words of encouragement
  • Astronaut Abby spoke of the female role models she has looked up to throughout her life so far
  • Dr Sara Al Maeeni was the MBRSC representative of the Women in Space panel
  • KhalifaSat was the example satellite the students learned about – it launches in 2018
  • As well as integration of the payloads in to the satellite
